Frequently Asked Questions
I don't have a neurological condition; can I still book with you?
Absolutely. While I specialize in Neurological Rehab, the "clinical" nature of my training makes me highly effective at treating back pain, sports injuries, and post-surgical recovery. My deep understanding of how the brain controls movement allows me to help anyone move with more precision and less pain.
Is online Pilates as effective as being in a studio?
In many ways, it’s more effective for rehab. By working in your own environment, we are training your body for your real life—learning how to move safely on your own stairs, chairs, and floor. Plus, you save the "travel fatigue," leaving you with more energy for the actual session.
Do I need a Pilates Reformer or expensive equipment at home?
No. Because we focus on "Functional Movement," we use what you have. A mat, a sturdy chair, and perhaps some common household items (like a towel or water bottle) are usually all we need. If you eventually want to buy specific props like resistance bands, I can provide recommendations.
I’m not very "tech-savvy"—is it difficult to join an online session?
Not at all. If you can open an email, you can join a session. I send a simple link to your inbox; you just click it, and we are connected. During our first "Discovery Call," I can even help you figure out the best place to put your laptop or tablet so I can see you clearly.
Is it safe to do Pilates online if I have significant balance issues or a high risk of falls?
Safety is my primary priority. Because our sessions are 1:1, I am watching your movement in real-time with high-definition oversight. We start with seated or supported exercises using chairs or walls, and we only progress when you—and I—are confident in your stability.
Do I need a formal diagnosis (e.g., MS or Parkinson’s) before I start?
No. You don't need a label to start moving better. Whether you have a confirmed diagnosis or are simply noticing changes in your balance, coordination, or strength, we focus on your specific symptoms and your personal goals.
What happens during the Free Discovery Call?
It’s a relaxed, 15-minute chat. We discuss your medical history, what you’re finding difficult right now, and what you’d like to achieve. It’s also a chance for you to see if you feel comfortable with me before booking a full session. No pressure, just a conversation.
